About
Sublime Media

Founded by Dave Carlile and David Linder in 2000, Sublime Media is a privately held Seattle-based company. We’re a collection of instructional designers, project managers, designers, editors, developers, and quality assurance professionals who are focused on creating the best training anywhere.

Sublime Media creates online courses, instructor-led training, learning portals, and online marketing media. We build solutions based on adult learning theory, solid instructional design, creative technology solutions, and robust reporting and tracking systems in order to provide the best in interactive and effective learning solutions.

Training
shouldn't
come in a can.

At Sublime Media, we believe that one-size-fits-all training just doesn’t work.

Learning succeeds when the curriculum is customized for you—for your industry, for your learners, and for your learning objectives. Whether it’s a five-minute online refresher course or a three-hour instructor-led seminar, it should tell your story, reflect your branding, and address the gaps that are unique to your situation.

Let us show you the cool, customizable work we do. We make it all about you, and that makes all the difference.

Instructor-Led Training

Instructor-Led Training

If you think instructor-led training is an anachronism, think again.

Despite all the tools and technology available to your learners,
some things still work better in person.

It’s true: Instructor-led training is dynamic, personalized, and surprisingly cost-effective. ILT gives your learners opportunities they don’t get with other kinds of training—they can role-play, take part in team-building activities, and ask questions while a topic is fresh in their minds.

Our train-the-trainer courses prepare your instructors to present the material with confidence; or our experienced facilitators can deliver courses for you. What you get are focused, effective, in-person experiences.

We can even design courses that you can deliver virtually, over a web conferencing service for example. Virtual ILT can expand your audience, broaden your scheduling options, and save you money. Read more

Everyone has access to a computer; why should I use ILT?

Because you can do some things far better in a facilitated class than you can with an e-learning course. Role-playing, skills practice, in-person Q&A, immediate feedback, and team building activities are all more effective in an instructor-led environment.

How long does it take to create ILT?

It all depends on the length of the course and the depth of the material to be covered. Sales training is very different from tools training—both of which are very different from deep technical training. Course development time can take anywhere from one to three weeks for one hour of course content.
